The Bike Kid 1
These stories are based in the 1950's following the life and struggles of fatherless 12 year old Tom through into adulthood as he strives to drag his family from the back street slums of Hull's Hessle Road in a decade when old motorcycles were plentiful and could be obtained for virtually nothing. He is given two old Brough Superior motorcycles that had lain discarded in a shed for many years. Selling them to a collector gives him the capital to expand and triggers off his passion for collectiing old motorcycles big time.
The Bike Kid 2
From his humble beginnings in the back streets off Hessle Road, Tom strives to improve his and his family's lot. Now, for the first time in his life, using the cash gained from two Brough Superiors and a 1000cc OEC he can afford to buy a shop on the main road, with living accommodation for the family and with cash in the bank can now afford to buy in stock.
The Bike Kid 3
Life for former street urchin, now vintage bike dealer Tom starts to blossom when he meets a wealthy young woman who collects vintage scooters. They may be from opposite ends of the social ladder but can love find a way? A wave of post war motorcycles now starts to appear on the market at low, give away prices, as cars become cheaper and more generally available to the public. Tom picking up on this trend continues to expand his business.

From street urchin to vintage motorcycle museum owner, not possible? Tom starts buying hundreds of ex-army motorcycles and spares, stockpiling them for the future when he believes their value will escalate. Though Tom will never leave his Hessle Road roots behind, his well heeled wife Helen and wealthy brother-in-law Germain pool their vintage motorcycle collections to make the dream come true.
